Aaron Toronto has many professional credits in film, theater, music and scriptwriting. He co-founded Toronto Brothers Studios after performing with Jeff Daniels' Purple Rose Theatre and acting for a variety of film companies. He appeared in Jeff Daniels’ indie comedy Super Sucker in which he played one of his oddest roles, an agent of the Americans Against the Sexual Abuse of Home Appliances.
His company, Toronto Brothers Studios, produced a script he co-wrote entitled, The Pact, (now streaming on Tubi TV). He played the lead role, Ancel Fox and composed much of the music for the movie. The Pact, has appeared in twenty festivals internationally and won several Best Feature awards and Audience Favorite Awards. At the Wet-Your-Pants Comedy Film Festival in Indianapolis, The Pact won the Best Feature and the Audience Choice awards. The Toronto Brother’s second feature, Face 2 Face, starring Daniela Bobadilla from Anger Management on FX, streamed on Netflix for two years and is now available on Amazon Prime! He is producing and acting in two upcoming films, Bowl Off, a comedy, and Reality Building, a psychological thriller and is developing a TV project entitled, Rezball, a one-hour drama.
Prior the producing, The Pact, he and his brother and frequent collaborator, Matthew Toronto, independently produced his short film script, Even Felons Fall. This film also appeared in numerous film festivals around the country and won a prestigious Gold Remi Award at the Houston International World-Fest Film Festival.
His finished writing projects included Harper Finch, a thriller-short (produced recently and on the festival circuit), Reality Building, a feature thriller, which is set for production soon, a full-length stage play, The Miracle of Being, which received a world-premiere production by One Bench Players; and Group, a musical that shows us how close to crazy we all are. Group's world premiere production at South Dakota State University, played to sold-out crowds and rave reviews. Aaron is developing several other screenplays and TV scripts including, Rezball, Home Shoppers Anonymous, The Perfect Kiss, The Breakdown and an untitled NASCAR movie.
Aaron was the lead singer for the bands The Bliss and Damn Sexy Man (DSM). DSM performed around the country and appeared on the nationally syndicated Mitch Albom radio program. He is now releasing music as a solo artist: www.atsings.com
He is married to Emily Toronto, an opera singer, and they have two sons, Joseph and Isaac.
